All through the week point out the wonders of nature; on which day was each created? Look for small ways to care for God’s creation: Do you recycle? Pick up litter?

Read the story of Creation at bedtime; you can dwell on one day each night.

Identify trees – maple, oak, Tree of Life, Tree of Good and Evil. How are all trees alike?

Put the icon of the Resurrection in your icon corner; where are Adam and Eve?

Read the story at bedtime each night.

Noah

NOAH

  • Visit the Zoo again; see all the animals. Remind the children that all these were on the ark.
  • Look around for pictures of rainbows – they’re everywhere! What do they say?
  • Is there a storm this week? What was the storm like for Noah?
  • Puzzle and coloring sheet.
  • Read the story at bedtime.

Prayer: Lord, give us the faith of Noah no matter how bad things look.

TOWER OF BABEL

Home activities:

  • Take a trip to Greektown  or visit a Greek Church. What are they saying?
  • Learn some phrases in another language or two.
  • Get a language tape from the library.
  • Puzzle and coloring sheet.
  • Read the story at bedtime.
