Zaccheus
Zaccheus
Home Activities (Note that this lesson should occur around Zaccheus Sunday)
- Reread the story to your child.
- Sing the song, complete with motions:
Zaccheus was a wee little man and a wee little man was he.
He climbed up in a sycamore tree for the Lord he wanted to see.
And when the Savior passed him by, He looked up in the tree.
And He said, “Zaccheus, you come down! For I’m going to your house today.
For I’m going to your house today.”
- Go for a walk and look at trees. Discuss the shapes of trees, their leaves or lack thereof, how they change with the seasons. Is there a sycamore nearby?
- Invite one of your child’s friends over for dinner. Ask your child to help prepare the food and plan the menu.
- This week begins our Pre-Lenten Journey. Print the Preparation Path, color Zaccheus, and then one space each day until Lent.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, Thank you for caring for us and loving us each day. Amen.
