BOOKS OF SOLOMON
Home Activities:
- Make Valentines this week, perhaps for a nursing home or orphanage. Deliver them in person.
- Have your child wear his verse from Proverbs each day at home and recite it – no, he doesn’t have to wear it to school!
- Make a jar of verses from Proverbs and pull one out each day to read, sort of like “fortune cookies”.
- Puzzle and coloring sheet.
Prayer: Lord give us love for Your people as You loved us.

- Children should identify Proverbs as a book of wise sayings.
- Children should identify Song of Songs as a love poem of Solomon.

- Now it’s time to visit the Aquarium. See all the fish, big and small. Imagine Jonah in the belly of a huge fish.
- Look at the boats of the harbor; which one would you choose if you were Jonah trying to escape.
- Puzzle and coloring sheet.
- Print and color the comic strip story. Read aloud to the family.
- Read the story at bedtime.
